SIAA Skills Day for Grades 1-8

Woodland Heights Elementary
9am: Boys 1st Grade
10am: Girls 1st & 2nd Grades
11am: Boys 2nd Grade
12pm: Girls 3rd & 4th Grades
1pm:  Boys 3rd Grade

Woodland Heights Middle
9am: Boys 4th Grade
10am: Girls 5th & 6th Grades 
11am: Boys 7th & 8th Grade
12pm: Boys 6th Grades
1pm: Boys 5th Grades

Skills Day is for grades 1-8 only. High school and kindergarten players will be assigned to teams in December.

Please arrive with your child at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time, to sign in. Players will then enter the gym and participate in stations involving basic basketball drills. It's fun! Parents will remain outside the gym, unless they are willing to help run the drills with the coaches. A brief talk may be given, answering common questions.

All Grade 1-8 players are expected to attend. Children who do not attend cannot be drafted by a coach, but will be randomly placed on teams after the draft

The skills to be assessed will be basic and fun, not something for your child to be nervous about. Holding a skills assessment helps the coaches create evenly experienced/talented teams during the draft process. All teams will be made of combined skill levels; no one is "cut." 

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO WORK THE CHECK-IN TABLES! 
Students can also receive service hours for this, as long as a parent volunteers with them. Please reply with your availability. Thanks!

COACHES: Check your email re: our Coach Meeting, and check out our SKILLS DAY PROCESS - all drafts will be held immediately after your skills session in the WHMS cafeteria.
